Pre-Writing Strokes
The pack that comes before letters. Every letter in the alphabet is built from nine movements, and this pack teaches them in the order a hand actually learns them: down, across, the two diagonals, circles, crosses, waves, zigzags and loops. Every line is wide and dashed, every path starts at a coral dot, and there is a picture at each end so the movement means something — drive the van to the hat, ride the wave from the whale to the octopus. Then the control work: trace around six shapes, draw a rainbow, spiral in like a snail, two mazes and a dot-the-rain-cloud page. Plus a rhyme to draw in the air (My Little Pencil), draw a train and a snail from the very strokes you practised, join the dots to find an ice cream, finish the other half of a sun, spot the difference, sort round from pointy and three more mazes.
