Telling Time
Clocks are hard because two hands mean two different things, so this pack teaches one at a time. First meet the clock: the short hand, the long hand, twelve numbers. Then o'clock only - read six clocks, write the time, draw the hands yourself, match each clock to its digital time and put the times on your own day, from waking up to lights out. Half past comes next, the same four ways, then a mixed page and one hour later. The last page is a clock to cut out and build with a paper fastener, because moving the hands yourself teaches more than any worksheet. Then play What's the time, Mr Wolf? with a card of times to call. Draw a watch and a sand timer in four easy steps, join the dots to find a sand timer and the sun, finish the other half of a sand timer, spot the difference, sort day from night and find the way through three mazes.
